Double date dating service
Double dates mean people can be more confident and relaxed because they’re in the company of a friend.’ ‘Each person has the support of a friend, so you can worry less about awkward moments and just be yourself.’ Although we’re not sure what happens if you don’t both like the same friendship due.
Maybe Double still has a few creases to iron out yet…
It's not easy to put yourself out there and meet strangers for blind dates.
San Francisco-based startup Tandem has recently launched a meetup platform that's changing the online dating structure that's in place.
The startup's founders believe the double-date setup makes it easier for people to be themselves.
"You bring a friend and they bring a friend," Tandem's founder Will Tungpagasit explains to Mashable.
One of the Double co-founder, Gary Mac Donough said: ‘The dating world can be a tricky and stressful place, especially the all-important first date.
What I can’t get on board with is the ridiculous stylization of the name: GOWi NGi NG. Does it somehow get the point across better than “Go Winging” would have? I can’t say I find the site much more appealing, either.
Here’s what the founder, Robert Jaggers, has to say: "I've found that there are so many people who really want to take advantage of dating websites and meetup app technology, but they're a little leery of going out on solo dates with a stranger.
That's understandable, and that's why I created GOWi NGi NG.
They can then search for local men or women to take on dates together with their newly-acquired wing.
Even those who are already in relationships can take advantage of the app, by using it to find other couples who are looking for double dates.
